Acne Prone Face Moisturizer: This Botanical Conditioner is the best moisturizer for very oily skin. Why? Because it's ingredients are astringent and antibacterial, noncomedogenic and nutrient rich. Remember a little goes a long way. Always apply an oil based product to a damp face (hence the relentless toner recommendations). Always massage the oil INTO the face. This encourages collagen production while ensuring the product penetrates deeper layers of skin (rather than sitting ON the skin).
Scalp Treatment: Think of this as a “pre-conditioner”. Make sure your hair has been brushed, but not necessarily cleaned. I like to run the dropper along various "parts", creating segments as I slowly squeeze the dropper and encourage small amounts of oil directly onto the scalp. Once I'm content with the amount of oil around the scalp, I do a head massage to make sure the oil is covering as much of the scalp as I want. Then I'll apply any excess (or extra) to the ends of my hair. I like a lengthy treatment. I tend to do this treatment on a lazy day. I can either have my hair up or under a cap then I'll wash my hair in the evening. You could leave it on for an hour or two before you wash it out, or all day, or overnight. When you wash, do so as you normally would. Wash. Rinse. Condition. Rinse. I suggest warm water for the wash and rinse, cool water for the conditioner rinse.
Oil Cleansing: This is how I wash my face every day. Rub oil around the face in circles for a minute or two. This draws out excess oils and dirt. Then you wash that away with a warm wash cloth. This removes the stuff you skin doesn't need while replenishing what your skin does need. Some people feel their skin is silky and smooth enough after a generous oil cleanse and don't need any other steps. I like to use The Detour Co Chamomile and Aloe Toner along with the face cream or oil, applied with a loving massage.
